An excellent history of the Cameronians including valuable appendices listing commanding officers, company commanders, adjutants, quartermasters, R.S.M.s, R.Q.S.M.s, C.S.M.s, administrative and training officers for 1st Battalion and Territorial 6th, 7th and 6/7th Battalions; a roll of honour for Malaya 1950-53; honours and awards; and corps and regiments to which members of the 1st Cameronians went on disbandment.

COLIN EVANS ALBUM

Album spanning the early career of Colin Evans, a Royal Navy Petty Officer who served on the H.M.S. St. Brides Bay in Malaya and Korea along the east coast. He served aboard the H.M.S. Diana during the Suez Crisis where she sank the Egyptian frigate Domiat - the last time a surface vessel would be sunk by gunfire alone. The Diana later sailed through the radioactive fallout zone of nuclear weapon tests Mosaic 1 and Mosaic 2 to discover the effects of atomic fallout. Evans' last operational service was aboard the H.M.S. Orion along the Malay Peninsula in 1964.
